BIC - /imagine; outside the box
— Print, OOH, Film + Webpage

BIC started as a company that invented the most famous ballpoint pen. However, today, with the advancement of computers and AI, digital devices and software are replacing many tasks, leading to a decline in the use of traditional pens. Despite this, how can BIC help bring back the value of handwriting and drawing?

Handwriting and drawing go beyond just recording or expressing thoughts; they are essential tools for capturing human creativity and individuality. While AI primarily works based on data and patterns, humans can use their creativity and emotional thinking to generate new ideas. Even with the rise of digital technology, hand-drawn images and handwritten words still hold unique value on their own.

Let's use the imagine prompts, which are used for AI generation, to show moments where people create more original things with BIC.

1. Print

: These prints highlights how creations made by BIC users, using their imagination, are far more original than the generic images found online. The pictures on the right represent standardized, easily predictable visuals—images that appear on the first page of Google or could be generated by AI tools like Midjourney. In contrast, the pictures on the left, drawn with BIC, possess a level of originality that goes beyond what is easily imaginable.

The main headline, /imagine: [something] outside the box, is a creative twist on the well-known idiom "Think outside the box." By incorporating "/imagine:", a prompt commonly associated with modern digital creation, we connect this concept to today’s creative landscape.

2. OOH: This OOH invites people to imagine concepts based on keywords like 'alien,' but it doesn't show any specific images. While people might typically imagine similar images, scanning the QR code on the OOH will allow them to view images created by BIC users, filled with their unique imagination. Through this, we convey the value of original human intelligence.

Scan the QR code on the OOH to visit the BIC Users Archive website, BICjourney, where users can upload and discover original, one-of-a-kind images.

3. Archive Website

: When users scan the QR code on the OOH, they will be directed to this site. Through this, they will realize how limitless human creativity can be, especially compared to images found through Google or generated by AI (which generates images based on those already available on the internet).

 4. Hacking the google search
: Let’s hack Google search! If you simply search for 'alien,' you’ll see the typical alien we all know. But if you search /imagine: Alien, you'll discover the unique and original creations of BIC users!
